HUMAN
PERFORMANCE
Overcome Limitations.
Performance is not simply about becoming stronger, faster, or more athletic. It’s about having the physical capacity to do the things that matter to you, whether that means returning to exercise, managing a persistent limitation, performing at a higher level, or simply moving with greater confidence and capability.
At the end of the day, every individual presents with a unique combination of movement patterns, loading demands, tissue capacity, footwear influences, and functional goals. Antonio’s approach combines movement assessment, hybrid-style hands-on care with performance therapy and training to help identify what’s limiting you and build the capacity needed to move forward.
WHEN MOVEMENT
BECOMES LIMITED
Many individuals seeking conservative musculoskeletal care experience challenges that extend beyond a single injury or diagnosis. Persistent symptoms, reduced activity tolerance, movement inefficiency, or discomfort influenced by footwear can often reflect the interaction of multiple contributing factors.
Antonio’s approach is intended for individuals seeking a structured, individualized assessment to better understand these relationships and identify appropriate conservative management strategies.
Load-Related
Discomfort
– Pain during walking or standing
– Activity-related discomfort
– Fatigue with everyday movement
Reduced Activity
Tolerance
– Unable to walk previous distances
– Exercise limitations
– Increased fatigue with activity
Recurrent or
Persistent Symptoms
– Symptoms repeatedly returning
– Improvement followed by recurrence
– Slow or incomplete recovery
Movement
Inefficiency
– Changes in walking
– Reduced balance
– Compensatory movement
– Difficulty with functional tasks
Footwear-Related
Influence
– Symptoms changing between shoes
– Walking feels different with footwear
– Difficulty finding comfortable footwear
A DIFFERENT APPROACH
TO PERFORMANCE
Improving performance does not begin with a pre-determined treatment or exercise program. It begins with understanding the person, how they move, how they tolerate load, where the current limitations lie, and how these factors relate to what the person is trying to accomplish.
From there, the focus is not simply on treating a symptom or correcting a movement. The goal is to address meaningful limitations and progressively develop the physical qualities that allow you to function and perform.
ASSESS
Understand your movement, physical
capacity, limitations, and goals.
ADDRESS
Use the appropriate combination of
hands-on work, movement strategies,
and targeted interventions to address
factors that may be limiting you.
BUILD
Develop mobility, coordination,
strength, tolerance, and other
physical capacities through
progressive exercise and training.
WHAT PERFORMANCE
MEANS TO YOU
Performance is individual.
For one person it may mean returning to running after years of limitation. For another, it may mean being able to train consistently without repeatedly being held back by the same problem. The objective is not to fit everyone into the same program but rather to understand where you are now, where you want to go, and what needs to change to get there.
Each person starts from a different place and the process can evolve as you do, the objective is not to keep you dependent on treatment but rather on creating meaningful change that carries beyond the treatment table.
